"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

You really really are my twin.
I'm sure you're not the ONLY idiot, but I know I'd never be caught doing that.
(I did say 'caught'.)
Sometimes (especially with fruit like plums) I don't realize that I've forgotten about the sticker until I think "Hm. That piece of skin has a really odd texture."
Apples are my problem.
Yup. Apples for me too!
Hee! I had that problem, until I worked in restaurant kitchen; peeling off hundreds of stickers a day tends to turn it into a habit. ;)
I forget All. The. Time.
I bit a sticker in half yesterday as I was eating the apple slices.
So yes, I had washed, sliced, packaged, opened, and eaten the apple before finding sticker.
